year Products Guarantee B.S. Joinery Services, Harlaw Business Centre, Harlaw Road, Inverurie, here by Guarantee that any sectional building manufactured and supplied with a heat bonded bituminous roofing material, will have an effective Guarantee against Roof Leakage for a period of 10 years from the original date of supply. Please note : -The 10 year guarantee is only applicable to buildings which are ordered after 12/12/2007. All buildings ordered and delivered prior to 12/12/07 had a 12 Month Guarantee In the unlikely event of a defect manifesting itself within the
Guarantee period, B.S. Joinery Services described as "The Manufacturers" within the following", will at their discretion :- Repair
or replace any part of the felt roofing material free of charge. Provided
that :- 1. (a)
The Building was erected by the
manufacturers when originally
supplied. (b) The Foundations on which the building was erected, were level and conformed to the manufacturers specifications. (c) Written
details of any
"ALLEGED"
roof leakage are
received within one
week of its occurrence. (d)
The Building has not been relocated or
modified in any way by any persons other than the
manufacturers. (e) There must also be sufficient room left around the building for the manufacturers to have full working access to erect it and have working room to undertake remedial work should any be required under the guarantee. If you ask us to "Shoe - Horn" any building in to a very tight space which leaves insufficient working room without having to relocate the building from it's original position should there be any future problems, your guarantee will be null and void! 2. (a)
DEFINITION OF ROOF LEAKAGE.....Is
water which permeates through the external felt covering from the outside in and not any dampness or
mildew on the internal roof surfaces
which can be caused by condensation due to natural atmospheric humidity found in
unheated buildings. (b)
If we
are requested to inspect any alleged roof leakage which then proves not to have been
caused by any fault of the manufacturers, you will be charged for any call-out.....(minimum
charge will be £40.00 + vat). Charges are dependant on the distance you
are from our factory. (c)
As it is the customers responsibility to
prepare any foundations required, the manufacturers will not be held responsible for any roof leakage
problems caused by settlement or
subsidence of sub-standard or non-conforming foundations.
(d) All our buildings are supplied untreated externally, therefore it's the customers responsibility to treat the building once it is in place, treat it again when it is about a year old, then keep treating it on an annual basis. Finally; No Guarantee other than what has been clearly stated above will at anytime be either offered, implied or given. It is the customer's responsibility to read and fully understand all of the above, prior to them placing any order with ourselves. We can not and will not be held responsible at a later date for any misunderstandings with regards to the guarantee terms and conditions stated above. Effective as of 12th December 2007. All delivery note/ balance invoices must be kept & produced as proof of the date of supply. (
